“Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradburry
Hi, folks! Today, I would like to tell you about our new book HomeReading.
“It was a pleasure to burn.”
This book is a science fiction dystopia novel, which was printed and published in 1953. The novel is written in a fantastic genre that introduces an exaggerated picture of the world in the close future.
Why did I choose this book?
After I’ve read “1984” by George Orwell and “ Brave New World” by Huxley Aldous, I’ve suddenly realized that it’s time to read another masterpiece. Also, no doubt, I’m fond of psychological and deep novels, especially dystopian ones. It’s very interesting for me to reason about people’s lives and analyze their fears and so on. And, yes, it matches my expectations because the plot and the main characters are very interesting. What is more, there are a lot of philosophical ideas in the book.
These are new vocabulary:
To have a flair for smth — иметь способности к чему-то
To shove — толкать
Earnestly — всерьез
Jersey — свитер
Craftmanship — мастерство
