Ok, today I have done all of the tasks which were planned for today:

  1. to watch 2 TED Ed videos
  2. to watch a couple of TheEllenShow episodes
  3. to do online grammar tests

So today I’ve watched “The surprising link between stress & memory”. Well , I’m a student and really, I mean, REALLY relate to this situation because I consider myself a person that have a bent for anxiety. I always try to search for different ways how to counteract this awful thing when your mind just goes blank during an important test. Ok, I can’t just escape anxiety at all, but I’m at least able to lessen it.

This video is really helpful for every student!

Here is new vocabulary:

To encounter [ ɪnˈkaʊntər] — 1)to experience something unpleasant.2)сталкиваться.

Example: We encountered a few problem at the beginning.

To govern [ ˈɡʌvən] — 1)to control (a country, a body). 2) управлять.

Reasoning [ ˈrizənɪŋ]- 1)the process of thinking about something in order to make a dicision. 2)ход мысли, рассуждение.

Example: I don’t understand the reasoning behind the dicision.

To inhibit [ ɪnˈhɪbɪt]-1)to make the progress or growth of something slower. 2)подавлять, сдерживать.

To overrule — 1)if someone in authority overrules a dicision or order, they officially decide that it’s wrong. 2)отменять, отклонять.

Example:Does the judge have the power to overrule the jury?

The second one is about coffee. The tittle is very attractive especially for me because I’m a fan of coffee. “How does caffeine keep us awake?”

There were a lot of information connected with biology and anatomy but the main idea is clear.

We should control the amount of consumed caffeine because it influences our hearbeat and blood preasure. It can accelerate our pulse which is bad if it happens too often. So, if we overdose caffeine it can lead to different heart diseases.

These are new words:

Decaf [ ˈdiːkæf] — 1)decaffienated coffee.2)кофе без кофеина.

To derail — 1)if you derail plans, you prevent them from happening. 2)расстраивать,отменять планы.

Evidence [ ˈevɪdəns] — 1) something that makes you believe that something is true or exists. 2)доказательство.

And at the end of surfing the Internet in order to find sone interesting videos I have watched this one just for enjoing.

“Sarah Paulson Touched Adele’s Magical Voice Box”. I really like this actress, and I first saw her in “American Horror History”. She is gorgeous!

And then I have done a few grammar exercises here:

✔Present Simple Negation — Ex.1

✔Present Simple Negation — Ex.2present

✔Present Simple or Present Progressive Test

✔Past Simple Questions — Ex.1

✔Past Simple Questions — E.2

✔Past Simple Questions — Ex.3

✔Present Perfect or Past Simple — Ex.1
