Three questions about movies
1)Think of a film that got rave reviews but which you were disappointed by;
Once I was disappointed by the production ‘The Aviator’ directed by Martin Scorsese and featured by Leonardo DiCaprio. The movie got mostly rave reviews for being truly original. On top of that, Cate Blanchett got an Oscar for the best female support role in the film. The point is that since the movie is too long, it loses its sparkle and the main idea gets lost throughout the story. Moreover, not only does it seem rather tedious for me, but I also don’t get the motives of the main character and cannot deduce the moral of the narration.
2)Think of a film that you didn’t think you would like, but which you really enjoyed;
Last year people made quite a commotion over an animated movie ‘Coco’. Truth be told, I don’t really rave about cartoons. It’s not as if I didn’t like them, I just prefer watching movies or series. Nevertheless, this cartoon took me by storm by its plot, well-developed characters and the deep moral of the story which gives some food for thought.
3)Think of a film that you really liked but which your friends didn’t enjoy.
One of the movies which I truly relish is ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ as it has believable characters and an engaging plot. However, some of my friends didn’t like it at all. They thought the plot provocative, the main characters bold and reckless which I cannot but agree with. However, I still consider it to be ingenious and realistic which I appreciate the most.
