Welcome to the city
Today I’m going to introduce to you two schedules for our foreign tourists for 2 and 5 days. We(together with Alexandra) developed a plan to make our trip to Nizhny Novgorod more organized to avoid wasting of time.
1st Day in Nizhny Novgorod
We’re are sure that every tourist especially foreign should visit The Kremlin in Nizhny Novgorod because this one of the most famous places here.
Then it would be great to walk through Minin and Pozharsky square to enjoy some old and beautiful architecture.
And the next step is walking through Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street. There are a great number of coffee shops and cafes so our American friends have an opportunity to stay at one of those which they will like more. If you are a fan of sweets you can choose “Cinnabon” and if you prefer to eat normal and healthy food you can visit “Around the World”.
2nd Day in Nizhny Novgorod:
The next day will be no less exiting than the previous one. Our American guests are highly suggested to visit the Chkalov Staircase. The staircase derives its name from pilot Valery Chkalov. He was the first man who flew from Moscow to Vancouver through the North Pole in 1937. By the way, if you are fond of physical exercises you are welcome to try to count all the steps of Chkalov Staircase. It’s really worth it.
Then our American friends can walk through The Embankment. During the walk you can enjoy the wonderful Volga and Oka rivers and of course take colorful pictures.
3d Day in Nizhny Novgorod:
There are still two days ahead so we’re going to introduce our American guests The Opera House. It’s a beautiful place. What is more the guests can even buy a ticket to see a performance if they want to.
This is a good chance to touch a piece of Russian culture and soul.
And after a performance our guests can go to “Murzik”. This is a cute cafe near the Opera House. There you can eat some tasty food in front of cats. Yes! There are a lot of cats everywhere in the cafe. So if you’re not allergic, you’re welcome to visit this place.
4th Day in Nizhy Novgorod:
Today you have a great opportunity to spend the whole day enjoying the Rukavishnikov Mansion . Everyone should visit this place. This exhibition space is located inside a 19th-century mansion once belonging to the Rukavishnikov merchant family. There you can wander through the rooms on your own or join one of the hourly 40-minute excursions in Russian and English.
5th Day in Nizhy Novgorod:
During the last day you can visit the Kashirin’s house. This is a museum which is located in Maksim Gorky’s gradfather house. This thing is worthy because it’s an important part of Russian history.
